Friends

Do you judge people according to what they wear? Why?

Yes, I do. Because if someone's taste in clothes is similar, I've feeling that I can get along with the person soon.
Some say that they can't understand why people judge others what they wear. But stop and think. What do you think if you see a woman who dresses up in the red dress when you go to the funerals of your friend? You may think she is crazy and rude one! If you think it, I think you judge people according to what they wear.

Do you think Japanese society puts an importance on clothing when judging other people from another country?

Yes, I do. Because, it is important what poeple wear.

What colors are you wearing now? Do they reflect your mood?

Brown. And I think they reflect my mood. I wear this color because autumn is coming.
And during summer, I always wear bright color.

What are some subjects that you will never discuss with a friend?

I never discuss about difficult subjects such as politics, economy, equity, and medical care.
But with my family, especially my mother, I sometimes discussed them.

Do you have different friends for different parts of your life? If so, how are they different to you? Do you talk about different things? Go to different places? Give me some examples.

Yes, I do. My friend loves SMAP very very very much. So she always writes about them in her blog. And she goes to Tokyo and goes to a concert of SMAP. When Kusanagi who is one of a member of SMAP was arrested by cops, she cried very much. But I didn't undertstand her feelings at all.

The Languages of Clothes

How would I express condolences to an American host family if their Grandmother died?

I will say that I'm deeply sorry for your loss.
And I will send them flowers.

Have you ever been to a foreign funeral?

No, I haven't. But I have ever watched it in movies.

Why are Japanese designer label crazy?

To make an impression to people who like to buy blandname goods.

Why is what you wear so important?

Because when people judge me, they will look my looks.

What does “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” mean to you?

I think it means that readers should judge after they finish to read it completely. It's not always true that the story is not interesting because its cover doesn't look interesting.
And also, we can put it into people. It means don't judge people until you know their character and personality.

Death and Funerals

Reflecting about the first class

I had never care about "wrapping" since the class . But I agree with it. When I give a gift someone, I always wrap it in beautiful paper because I want to give the person who accept it the willies. And during the night, I always close the drapes because I can sleep in the darkness.

Where do I go when I die?

I don't think I go to the heaven when I die. I think that all of things have a spirit. When a body die, its spirit leaves the body and enters new one which is newborn. I believe "metempsychosis".

Why do Japanese have death memorial services after a person's die?

I think there are two reasons. First, it's a good chance to recall the person who died. Second, Buddhist monks have to earn money, so they have to do something to get money. But the latter one is absolutely my opinion. Hahaha. So Japanese have death memorial services.
